Welcome to the BiDebA Project
"Unbinding the Future: Sustainable Adhesion for a Greener World"
Over BiDebA
The BiDebA Project (BioBased Debondable Adhesives) represents a groundbreaking initiative within the Interreg North-West Europe framework, aimed at revolutionizing the use of adhesives in industrial applications through the development of innovative, biobased, debondable solutions. Our project seeks to reduce the environmental impact associated with traditional adhesives and to foster a new era of sustainable and recyclable product design.
Our Vision
To pioneer sustainable adhesive solutions that enable easy separation of composite materials and components at the end of their lifecycle. By facilitating recycling and reuse, the BiDebA project hopes to significantly decrease landfill waste and carbon emissions associated with production and disposal processes.
Our Mission
- Innovate: Develop high-performance, biobased debondable adhesives that meet industrial needs while protecting the environment.
- Educate: Provide training and dissemination of knowledge on the application and benefits of these innovative adhesives across industries.
- Collaborate: Foster a collaborative network of academia, industry, and research institutions to share insights, enhance technological development, and accelerate market adoption.
- Sustain: Promote sustainability in manufacturing practices through the adoption of adhesives designed for disassembly and recycling.
Our Partners
The BiDebA consortium is composed of leading institutions and companies across Europe:
- ACRATS Aircraft Structures: Specialists in aircraft repair training and composite materials.
- Avans University of Applied Sciences: A frontrunner in applied sciences with a deep commitment to sustainability research.
